Organic Fertilizer Granulation Machine Operation Precautions

2026/01/27

Organic fertilizer granulation machines are core equipment in organic fertilizer production lines. Proper operation not only ensures normal equipment operation and extends service life but also guarantees granulation quality and mitigates safety risks. To improve production efficiency and prevent accidents, based on practical production experience, the following operational precautions are summarized for operators' reference.

Pre-start inspection is a prerequisite for safe and efficient production and must be thorough. First, check all connections to ensure bolts and nuts are secure, drive belts are properly tensioned, and bearings, gears, and other rotating parts are adequately lubricated to prevent jamming and wear during operation. Second, clean debris from the granulation chamber, feed inlet, and discharge outlet to prevent residual material from caking and affecting granulation results. Simultaneously, check the electrical wiring, switches, and grounding devices for integrity, confirming there are no potential for leakage or short circuits. Only after confirming normal instrument readings can the machine be started.
During operation, strictly adhere to regulations and pay attention to key details. Operators must wear protective equipment and are strictly prohibited from wearing loose clothing or jewelry. Long hair must be tied up and secured to prevent it from being caught in moving parts of the equipment. During feeding, maintain a uniform and continuous flow to avoid excessive material clogging the feed inlet or insufficient material causing the equipment to idle and damage internal parts. Simultaneously monitor the material's moisture content; adjust promptly if inappropriate to ensure uniform granulation and high forming rate. Closely monitor the equipment's sound and temperature during operation. If abnormal noises, overheating, or material leakage occur, immediately stop the machine for inspection. Never touch moving parts with hands or tools while the machine is running.
Shutting down must be done systematically to avoid equipment damage. Before stopping, stop feeding and allow all material to be discharged from the granulation chamber. After the equipment has idled for 1-2 minutes, then turn off the power. After shutdown, promptly clean any remaining material inside and outside the equipment, paying particular attention to cleaning areas prone to clumping, such as the granulation chamber and die holes, to prevent material from hardening and becoming difficult to clean, thus corroding the equipment. Also, check the wear of all parts, tighten any loose bolts, replenish lubricating oil to rotating parts, and maintain a record of equipment cleaning and maintenance.
Furthermore, operators must be professionally trained and qualified before operating the equipment, familiar with its structure, operating procedures, and emergency response methods. Unlicensed operation and violations are strictly prohibited. The equipment requires regular inspection and maintenance, with timely replacement of worn parts to prevent operation while malfunctioning. Maintenance and cleaning work is strictly prohibited while the equipment is running. If operation is absolutely necessary, the power must be disconnected and a "Do Not Operate" sign must be displayed.
Standardized operation is the guarantee for the stable operation of organic fertilizer granulation machines and the bottom line for safe production. Operators must remember the above precautions, strictly follow the procedures, protect their own safety, improve production efficiency, ensure product quality, and allow the equipment to function fully, contributing to the high-quality development of the organic fertilizer industry.
