Installation of a 100,000-Ton Annual Capacity Organic Fertilizer Production Line in Sichuan

2026-08-31

At the installation site of a 100,000-ton annual capacity organic fertilizer project at a cattle farm in Dazhou, Sichuan, the hoisting and positioning of several core pieces of equipment marked a critical milestone in the project. The equipment lineup provided by Huaqiang Heavy Industry reflects the high standards for stability, continuity, and automation required for large-scale organic fertilizer production.

The most striking piece of equipment on-site is the large rotary drum granulator. Featuring a large-diameter, long-length drum and substantial overall weight, the hoisting operation required precise calculations regarding lifting points and the center of gravity. Technicians set up auxiliary supports at both ends of the drum; as the crane slowly lifted the unit, workers on the ground coordinated with guide lines to ensure the equipment landed smoothly on its pre-cast foundation. The granulator utilizes an external gear ring drive, offering high torque and low operating noise; it is well-suited for the continuous granulation of sticky materials like cattle manure, delivering high pelletization rates and excellent granule strength.
The dryer and cooler, which complement the granulator, also feature a rotary drum design and are arranged sequentially along the production line. The dryer rapidly reduces granule moisture content through hot air exchange, while the cooler employs a counter-flow cooling method to bring the granules down to room temperature, preparing them for subsequent screening and packaging. At the site, the drums of both units have already been painted, with their feed/discharge ports and sealing mechanisms awaiting final connection.
At the front end of the facility, a horizontal crusher and a rotary screening machine have been positioned. The crusher breaks down large, fermented material clumps to the fineness required for granulation, while the screening machine separates finished granules from material to be recycled; substandard material is returned to the earlier stage for re-granulation, creating a closed-loop production process. Additionally, equipment such as an automatic batching system, a coating machine, and a quantitative packaging scale is being installed concurrently.
The technical team from Huaqiang Heavy Industry stated that the entire production line utilizes centralized control, with equipment seamlessly interconnected via belt conveyors and bucket elevators; once operational, the line will enable fully automated production, transforming raw cattle manure into finished organic fertilizer.
