How Does a New Type Organic Fertilizer Granulator Work?

2025/11/13

As a core piece of equipment for the resource utilization of agricultural waste, the new type organic fertilizer granulator adopts a new wet continuous pusher granulation technology. With its unique working principle and process, it achieves efficient and high-quality granulation of organic fertilizer in the organic fertilizer production line. Its interconnected working process ensures both granule quality and maximum retention of fertilizer nutrients.

After the equipment starts, the pre-treated raw materials enter the granulation cylinder through the feeding device. The feeding device consists of a hopper and a screw feeder. The hopper temporarily stores the raw materials, and the screw feeder's speed is controlled by a variable frequency motor to ensure uniform and stable material delivery, precisely matching the feed rate with the granulation speed. At this time, a water spraying device located at the top of the granulation cylinder sprays an appropriate amount of water or binder to create conditions for granule formation.
The granulation cylinder is the core working area, and the internal stirring teeth are the key components for granulation. Four to eight symmetrically distributed stirring teeth, made of high-strength alloy steel, are heat-treated to achieve high hardness and wear resistance. Driven by a transmission system, they rotate at a high speed of 300-1000 rpm. Inside the granulation cylinder, the raw material is subjected to intense stirring, impact, and tumbling by the stirring teeth. Through friction, centrifugal force, and its own viscosity, it gradually agglomerates into granules. The entire process requires no complex extrusion equipment, resulting in a gentle granulation process that minimizes damage to the raw material. After granulation, the granules are discharged through an inclined chute at the end of the granulation cylinder and enter the screening stage. Unqualified oversized or undersized granules are separated and returned to the granulation system for re-granulation, while qualified granules proceed to the drying and cooling process. After drying to reduce the moisture content to below 10%, and then cooling to room temperature, they are ready for metering and packaging, ultimately forming high-quality organic granular fertilizer.
This working mode gives the new type organic fertilizer granulator a strong adaptability to materials, especially suitable for high-viscosity, fiber-containing organic raw materials. It is also easy to operate and has low energy consumption, making it an ideal choice for small and medium-sized fertilizer production enterprises. It realizes the resource utilization of organic waste and provides efficient and high-quality fertilizer products for agricultural production.
