In the final stage of fertilizer production, the high-temperature fertilizer (usually 80-120℃) that has just been dried needs to be quickly cooled to below 30℃ to ensure safe packaging and storage. The drum fertilizer cooler is the core equipment in this stage. Its working principle, designed specifically for the characteristics of fertilizers, makes the cooling process efficient and safe, and is suitable for the production needs of various fertilizers.

The high-temperature fertilizer particles enter the cooling drum with an inclination of 3°-5° from the feed end. As the drum rotates at a speed of 3-7 rpm, the special lifting plates inside will lift the materials evenly. These lifting plates are arranged in a stepped manner, which not only prevents the fertilizer particles from colliding and breaking, but also allows the materials to form a uniform material curtain, ensuring that each fertilizer particle is fully in contact with the cooling medium.
At the same time, clean cold air passes through the material curtain in the opposite direction from the other end of the drum. The cold air is in full contact with the high-temperature fertilizer particles, and through forced convection heat exchange, it quickly takes away the heat from the surface of the particles, while the heat inside the particles is continuously transferred to the surface, achieving deep cooling. During this process, the cold air absorbs heat and becomes hot air, which is discharged from the exhaust port to avoid residual heat affecting the cooling effect.
The drum fertilizer cooler is equipped with an intelligent speed control system, which accurately controls the residence time of the fertilizer in the drum by adjusting the speed to ensure that the discharge temperature is stable at 25-30℃. The hardness of the cooled fertilizer particles is improved, it is not easy to agglomerate, and can be directly packaged by a granular fertilizer packing machine.
